Tahira in Bloom-Book Review

Tahira is a young, vibrant teenager with a plan full of ambition and style. At 17 years old, Tahira is an aspiring designer. She’s made it entirely her mission to become the next best thing in fashion, including getting herself reposted on a specific Instagram account.

Upon hearing her Summer fashion internship got canceled, Tahira pivoted from her life plan “A” to plan “B”. She and her BFF go off to stay with Tahira’s aunt for the Summer. Her aunt has a clothing store in a small town called Bakewell. Tahira plans to modernize and give it a vibe check on a budget.

Before Bakewell, she meets Rowan, who is more than just a rude green thumber.  Tahira is going to have to deal with secrets, disappointment, love triangles, cheating, and more. What will Tahira choose to do? When faced with a decision that makes her plan “A” move forward again. Or does she stay true to her feelings and genuine friendships that make her plan “B” bloom into something new?

Book Review

Farah Heron made me fall in love with the characters in Tahira in Bloom. You will enjoy this fun and relatable YA book. With topics about what is real and not on social media platforms. And other issues on diversity and inclusion. This book has everything that is trending with young adults. I read this as an ARC in exchange for a review on NetGalley.com.
