Rafe Hendrix is an ex-Army Ranger Sniper, in the opening of the book he is working in the Secret Service. In the detail of the First lady.  Faced with two terrible outcomes, Rafe goes against his orders, saving the First Lady. That choice will haunt him for years to come.

He has left his old life and has opened up to someone new. That is when Rafe catches a pattern: reenactments of assassinations of Presidents. Someone is targeting him and wants to send a message to his friend, and President, Wyetta Johnson. She’s next!

Frank Sennett was so clever in adding some events that we recently had to see in the government. As the former VP mentioned, the novel takes place just a few years after January 6, 2021. Sennett notes the domestic terrorists that have infiltrated their way into agencies in the government, as well. Rafe Hendrix has to navigate all of this, in order to protect the President and save the life of his now-only child.

This book has it all! Deceit, love, sacrifice, torture, murder, it’s a page-turner.

I look forward to reading more books to come from this series.
