This is a curated list of seven productivity tips to reach your productivity goals in the new year.  Simple and to the point, just a way to get you on your way. For other Productivity Tips check out our post “Benefits of Journaling for Self-Development” HERE.

  1. Get a good sleep schedule going.  Make sure you are getting enough rest so that you can be more focused and have the energy to be productive in your day.
  2. Set specific, achievable daily and weekly goals.  This will help you focus on what needs to be done and track your progress.  With this tip, you can also keep motivated with your accomplishments.
  3. Create a schedule and try your best to stick to it.  Life happens, so be flexible.  This is the way to allocate your time effectively and prioritize your tasks.
  4. Stay Organized.  Keep your workspace clean and clutter-free.  Use file folders, agendas, or a digital organization system to keep track of important documents and other things.
  5. Take breaks regularly.  It’s important to not burn out, so give your brain and eyes a break.  Take a break to also move your body around.
  6. Minimize distractions.  Turn off phone and computer notifications that may disrupt your productivity flow.  Aim for finding a quiet space to work in, that will also be helpful.
  7. Use tools and resources that will help you be more efficient.  Tools like a to-do list app, and time-tracking tools that help time-block your day.  You can also use Zapier to start automating some things which will free up more of your time if you’re running a business.
