Curating Edits Favorites of 2023
Let’s do a roundup of all the great things that we have been loving in 2023.
Home
For our Curating Edits HOME section, let’s look at the Canadian Down & Feather pillows that are a DREAM. Our favorites of 2023 are the Gel Microfiber Down Alternative Pillows* (Pictured Below). For a discount code of 5% of the sale price use discount code: CURATINGEDITS until Dec. 31, 2023.
Why are the Gel Microfiber Down Alternative Pillows from Canadian Down & Feather our favorites of 2023? These pillows can be machine-washed/dried in a low-heat setting. The other phenomenal thing about these pillows is that they work for ALL sleeping positions. Whether you sleep on your side, on your back, or just constantly moving around changing positions during your sleep, these pillows work well to help you get rest.
Style
This was a recent find, so a late 2023 find. It took a long time to change our style of jeans and we are not looking back now. We tried various styles and even different sizes to get it just right. The winner was the Pull & Bear Mom Jeans. At Curating Edits Favorites of 2023 are two styles, the Comfort Mom Jeans and the Basic Mom Jeans from Pull & Bear.
Why do we at Curating Edits LOVE these jeans so much to include them in our Favorites 2023 list? Because they are available in three different pant length styles: Petite, Regular, and Tall. It is difficult to find jeans that fit when you are petite but curvy from the sizes available from 0 to size 14, is a great find and I would re-purchase them because they are also comfortable.
Beauty
Disclaimer for this area of the blog post. In our stance against genocide, we are disclosing beauty items that we have enjoyed throughout the year but since the atrocities of Gaza, we have not purchased any beauty products. We are using up the products we have and no longer support companies unless we are 100% sure of the company’s stance and position on such an important matter. At CuratingEdits, we exhort you not to purchase any beauty products if they do not align with your beliefs.
The beauty product that changed our lives this 2023 was the Giorgio Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation, the 5.5 shade is our shade of choice. The foundation is medium coverage and you can build on it if you are looking for full coverage. What makes the GA Luminous Silk Glow Foundation a Curating Edits Favorite is that it melts into your skin. You don’t feel cakey or heavy, it’s lightweight and leaves your skin luminous. If you follow Curating Edits on Instagram, you would’ve seen the before and after of using the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation.
SKINCARE
This is more skincare than beauty, but all the same. Let’s talk about the two skincare brands and the products that we use at Curating Edits.
In our previous post titled Dr. Jart+ Skincare, we talked about how the redness on my skin has led me to use the Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment. This product is used before foundation or instead of wearing foundation.
Adding to that is the Origins Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Soothing Treatment Lotion*. This we use as a part of our skincare routine, we use this treatment lotion. It smells great and it noticeably calms my skin after cleansing it. When the redness is in full activation mode we add this right before the Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment to help with the coverage.
Music
Music has been a great mix of reconnecting with previous music artists and venturing into listening to more worldwide musicians and artists. You can check out our Autumn 2023 Music Playlist on Spotify.

- Emily King Link to Artist

That is just to name a few, you can check out our next Spotify playlist we will be releasing in February 2024. If you have any recommendations, let me know, leave me a message over at our contact page because I am always looking for new music artists and genres to check out.
Books
This one is hard, at Curating Edits we have the privilege of reading many books and reviewing them. For this reason, this can be a VERY LONG LIST, which we’re curating down to 4 favorites of 2023 that we have read.
The Syndicate Spy by Brittany Butler (Read the Review)
Carmen and Grace by Melissa Coss Aquino (Read the Review)
A Killer’s Game by Isabella Maldonado (Read the Review)
The Future of the Responsible Company by Vincent Stanley (Read the Review)
What To Watch
With the various strikes taking place, it did not feel right to be recommending streaming services so at Curating Edits we limited our What to Watch (WTW) blog posts. With shows not being able to film, old shows were revisited and new shows and movies were found. Here’s a list of Curating Edits Favorite WTWs of 2023.

Martin) uses his unique expertise in psychology, body language, emotion, and more to help solve difficult, high-stakes cases. “The Man In The High Castle” on Amazon Prime
The series is loosely based on Philip K. Dick’s novel of the same name. It takes a look at what the world might look like had the outcome of WWII turned out differently. In this dystopian scenario, the United States is divided into three parts, an area controlled by the Japanese, a Nazi-controlled section, and a neutral zone between the two.
