If you follow us on TikTok, you’ve already seen our empties post. If you don’t follow us on TikTok, I figured let’s do the breakdown of our beauty and skincare empties for the first three months of 2024. For transparency measures, all products I mention I have purchased with my own money.

My Skin

Beauty And Skincare Empties on Curating Edits. Photo of a no-makeup where you can see Nette's face with no makeup and see the redness and dryness being discussed in the post.I have to start by disclosing that my skin is sensitive. It gets red just by putting water on it, regardless of whether the water is cold, warm, or hot. My face looks like a hot tamale. On top of that, I suffer from dry skin. There are before and afters on Curating Edits social media platforms, and if I find any on my photo roll I will provide a visual (see left).

Beauty Empties

Let’s start with the beauty empties from January to March of 2024. I do not wear a lot of makeup on a day-to-day basis. This is because I am scared that wearing makeup might make my skin drier or react unpleasantly.

Image shows the Maybelline Facestudio Contour Duo Stick used by Nette on Curating Edits and is part of the Beauty And Skincare Empties post. What I have been using and is now part of my beauty empties is the Maybelline* MasterContour V by FaceStudio.

It’s a contour duo stick, with a creamy matte texture that I apply quickly and blend in with a beauty sponge.

Skincare Empties

This list is a bit longer than the beauty empties (I told you I don’t use a lot of makeup). For the skincare empties, I have been using the Vaseline* Intensive Care Advanced Repair Unscented Body Lotion.

For my facial skincare, I have been using the Origins Ginzing “Into the Glow” Brightening Serum*, the Ginzing Oil-Free Energy-Boosting Gel Moisturizer*, and the Plantscription Anti-Aging Power Eye Cream*.

Beauty and Skincare Empties

Image of the beauty and skincare empties of Curating Edits. This was my first time using Origins skincare products. Due to my skin’s sensitivities maybe I should have looked into trying the complete line, instead of mixing the Ginzing and the Plantscription.  I have heard people with sensitive skin rave about the Ginzing line of Origins but I preferred the Origins Planscription product, hands down would re-purchase and highly recommend it.

Vaseline is tried and true, I have no issues with the product and it’s a family brand meaning everyone in my family uses it. The beauty empties, Maybelline, I still have another duo stick that I am using, so that’s for sure a repeat buy and a must-have for us.

What’s Next

This will be a trimester series post where I highlight Curating Edits beauty and skincare empties. You will see repeat posts in the next trimester post, like the Maybelline Duo Stick, but there will also be some new skincare products I will be trying.  Curious as to what they are? Don’t forget to check out our next Beauty and Skincare Empties post.
